Elise Vatsvaag - From Norway to New York

Elise Vatsvaag Announces Recording Trip to New York

On dreary days when everything seems blasé, Elise Vatsvåg’s marshmallow-sweet voice and endearing lyrics are a pick-me-up. The small-framed Norwegian singer-songwriter has been compared to Ingrid Michaelson and Feist for her sunny style and songwriting prowess, but her unique charm is the result of her innocent outlook on life and youthful zest. Her music is a blend of cozy acoustic-pop with hints of jazz and showtunes. On January 2010, Elise will travel to New York City to record her first official EP release under the direction of producer Ling Wang. Her travel stories, videos, and documentation of the recording process will be released on her blog (http://elisevatsvaag.tumblr.com/).

URGENT UPDATE!!!!!!!!! (From ERIK)

HI.
Erik Braund here... to tell you about a very important development with regard to getting in touch with my Norwegian roots.

I just arrived in Alaska to celebrate Christmas. On my way to Alaska, I spent the weekend in Montana visiting my brother Dylan, his beautiful wife Sarah, their two year old son Finn, and my mother, Susan, who might just be the best mother in the world. Why?

SHE GOT ME A NORWEGIAN WAFFLE MAKER FOR CHRISTMAS..... and found a Norwegian waffle recipe for me. As you can see, we made waffles. And we ate them.

I thought you all should know that.

Carry on. Snakkes.
